Valentine’s day is fast approaching and you want to make sure that you bring your ‘A-game’ to impress your lady.
While male enhancement pills can certainly improve your libido in more ways than one, eating the right foods can certainly do the same thing, albeit more naturally.
Today, I am going to go over the foods that you should be eating on and before Valentine’s.
I think you know by now why raw oysters are on the list. Aside from the fact that it is one of the sexiest foods that you can eat alone or with your partner, raw oysters are actually considered powerful aphrodisiacs.
The reason why you’d want to up your intake of oysters is due to their rich zinc content. Zinc is a mineral that, research suggests, could positively impact your testosterone levels and improve your sperm production.
Raw oysters are also quite delicious and are definitely fun to consume with your partner, especially on Valentine’s.
Strawberries contain high amounts of Vitamin C. Although it is deemed to be a vitamin that wards off pathogens and keeps your immune system healthy, Vitamin C actually indirectly affects your sex drive as well.
On top of that, research shows that when you ingest foods that are rich in the said vitamin, the said nutrient can also help prevent prostate cancer too.
This ‘fatty’ fruit actually contains the healthy kind of fat. Aside from that, it is rich in Vitamin B6 which, as some studies would suggest, can decrease premenstrual syndrome and irritable male syndrome as well. In other words, this amazing fruit can get both of you in the mood.
Foods to Avoid
Now, the foods that I’ve mentioned above may directly or indirectly improve your libido, but there are also some foods that you should avoid like the plague, especially if you are looking to be in the mood for sex during Valentine’s Day. Here are just some of them:
Now, I know what you are thinking. Why should I avoid drinking the one thing that can make me horny, right? Well, that is precisely why you’d want to avoid that thing.
You see, alcohol consumption, especially to the point that you are going to get tipsy or drunk, may actually hamper your sexual performance. That is because alcohol is a depressant and it can certainly diminish your energy levels when you are in bed.
Now, I am not saying that you completely ditch the alcohol since there are some (like red wine) that can positively impact libido, but what I am saying is that limit your consumption to just one or two servings.
Fatty beef, pork, and other foods that contain saturated fats should also be avoided (if it can be helped). Saturated fats could lead to blocked arteries and for men, this not only leads to heart problems but it can also impede blood flow to the penis (that may result in erectile dysfunction.
